| Pauline has painted the Tjukurrpa or
Dreaming story that belongs to her father. In Yaka Yaka country,
60km south of Balgo the Wati Kutjarra or the two goanna men
went hunting. These men of the skin Tjungurrayi and Tjampitjin
were hunting for a snake in this country. They followed him
down a big cave but could not find him. They dug up many holes
looking for the snake. The holes are still visible there today.
Men from Balgo, Mulan and Christmas Creek still sing this
Dreaming. |
